Victory

I did it!!! I fiished writing my book at 4:23 PM today August 31, 2006. (I had over seven hours to spare.) And I have to say the reason I was able to do it - is becasue I wasn't giving myself any room not to. I wasn't trying I was doing. Golden Dreams A Story of Discovery . This is the first book I have finished. It has a beginning and a middle and an end. I can't tell you how many I have started. Just ask my writing group - Seed Sowers that meets once a month. For years, I would show up with a new story every month. Until now. Now that I know I can do it, there will be more completed books. Of course I have to edit the book. It is in the raw state. But I have soemthing to edit : ) Praise the Lord!!! For He is good and faithful and able to do mighty things.

Down to the Wire

Okay, I've got 5 days to finish my book. That's 20,000 words to reach my 85,000 word goal. I can do it. I will not try to do it, bit I will do it if that means I have to stay up late past my comfort zone. I have eliminated the word try from my vocabulary. The dragon of doubt hides within those three little letters, giving the false sense of determination all the while harboring the acceptance of faliure. I will not try and finish. But I will finish my book. I've got the ending in sight. Just have to write it. This is a going to be a brief note, so I can get on with the writing. Check back Sept 1 and see my victory post!!!

Free - now what am I doing?

I've been free a month now. What have I been doing? Writing and writing and writing. I am working on a Christian Western Romance and am 30,000 words away from finishing my first book. !!! I have started many, but never finished one. My goal for getting free was to be free to write. I have kept to my schedule - not perfectly, but verrry good for me. So what is my book about: A woman fleeing her past collides with a man seeking his destiny. Together they cross a continent, fight Indians, outlaws, and a wild land. But discover their most challenging obstacle is conquering the past and learning that the power to change is found in the love of God. Check in later and I'll keep you posted on my progress.
